Hot Monday for most of PH; Palawan, E. Visayas, Mindanao to have rains

MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Luzon are expected to have a hot and humid Monday as some parts of Palawan, the Visayas, and Mindanao are expected to get some rain.

In its Sunday afternoon forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the Visayas and Mindanao are still being affected by an intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).

Metro Manila will experience warm weather on Monday with temperatures ranging from 26 to 35 degrees Celsius; Tagaytay City at 24 to 32 degrees Celcius; Baguio City at 17 to 27 degrees Celsius; Laoag City at 26 to 33 degrees Celcius; Legazpi City at 26 to 32 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City at 26 to 36 degrees Celsius; and Puerto Princesa City at 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures in Cebu will range from 25 to 31 degrees Celsius; Tacloban, 25 to 31 degrees Celsius; Iloilo 25 to 32 degrees Celsius; Cagayan de Oro, 24 to 32 degrees Celsius; Zamboanga City, 25 to 31 degrees Celsius; and 25 to 32 degrees Celsius in Davao City.

Pagasa also noted a possible low-pressure area forming in the southern part of the country, although it is still outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

Meanwhile, Pagasa has not issued a gale warning as the western part of the country will experience slight to moderate sea conditions, while the eastern part will have moderate sea conditions.
