Masbate town employee gunned down at wedding party

LEGAZPI CITY – A local government employee was shot and killed before dawn Sunday in Esperanza, Masbate.

Carlos Comedia Jr., 40, an Esperanza municipal employee assigned at the General Service Office, was attending a wedding party at around 2 a.m. in Barangay Masbaranon when he was shot by a lone gunman, Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol regional police spokesperson said.

The victim died on the spot while the gunman escaped.

Further investigation in ongoing.
