SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—Four new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the province on Thursday (May 6) and three of the patients were siblings, an official said.
In an advisory, Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said three of the patients are siblings aged 1, 20 and 21 residing at the village of Yamot in Candelaria town.
They were exposed to their virus-infected father.
The other case is that of a 71-year-old woman, also from the same village. She had suffered a mild stroke and recently experienced breathing difficulty and abdominal pain.
It was not immediately known how she contracted the virus.
So far, Zambales has 1,896 COVID-19 infections since 2020. At least 1,558 of these patients had been healed from the disease.
The province also logged 48 deaths.
