MANILA, Philippines — Warm and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country due to the Pacific easterlies.
On the other hand, the Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring more rain to southern Mindanao (ITCZ).
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) also said that as of Thursday, May 6, no low-pressure systems or storms are expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility for the next two to three days.
For Monday, Luzon will experience warm and humid weather, but isolated rain showers might still form in the afternoon and evening due to localized thunderstorms caused by the easterlies.
Temperatures in Tuguegarao and Metro Manila range from 25 to 35 degrees Celsius, Laoag with 25 to 33 degrees, Baguio with 17 to 27 degrees, Tagaytay with 23 to 32 degrees, Legazpi 26 to 33 degrees, Puerto Princesa with 27 to to 33 degrees, and Kalayaan Islands with 27 to 34 degrees.
Meanwhile, due to the ITCZ, the southern portion of Mindanao — specifically, Socckskargen and Davao Region — will experience rainy weather.
However, the rest of Mindanao and Visayas would experience the same level of heat and humidity as Luzon’s, including isolated rain showers.
Tacloban and Cebu would experience temperatures ranging from 26 to 33 degrees Celsius, while Iloilo would experience 27 to 33 degrees, Cagayan de Oro with 24 to 33 degrees, Zamboanga with 25 to 35 degrees, and Davao with 25 to 33 degrees.
Meanwhile, Pagasa has raised no gale warning but warned that the whole eastern coast of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao would have moderate conditions.
The rest of the country’s territorial and inland seas, on the other hand, would have slight to moderate conditions.
“Kaya malaya pong makakapalaot ‘yung mga ating kababayang mangingisda, pati na rin yung may mga maliliit na sasakyang pandagat,” said Pagasa.
