Police seize P680,000 worth of ‘shabu’ in Malate bust; alleged pusher nabbed
MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics operatives arrested a suspected drug pusher during a bust in Malate, Manila early Thursday that also led to the seizure of P680,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth).
In a police report, the suspect was identified as Datu Saban, a 23-year-old student and a resident of Taguig City.
According to the Malate Police Station (PS-9), police officers conducted the bust in Barangay 701 at 12:06 a.m.
Police were able to seize heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets that contained the suspected shabu.
The confiscated drugs weighing 100 grams were valued at P680,000.

Article continues after this advertisement“All recovered pieces of evidence, marked with signature by the seizing officer, were submitted to MPD-Crime Laboratory Office for qualitative and quantitative examination,” said the Malate police.
The arrested suspect is now temporarily detained at the Malate Police Station Custodial Facility for booking and documentation.
