The Nurses Licensure Examination (NLE) will be held on July 3 and 4 while a second examination this year will be on Nov. 21 and 22, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said. The commission said it issued Resolution No. 1353 in response to the “clamor to reconsider the possibility of conducting the NLE at earlier dates due to the urgent call of the government to augment the workforce of the medical professions, especially the registered nurses, on the country’s battle against COVID-19 pandemic.” The Department of Health and the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases said they would assist in holding examinations such as the NLE, read the resolution, signed by its chair Teofilo Pilando Jr. and two other commissioners. —MARICAR CINCO
