BPI exec takes witness stand

MANILA, Philippines—An official of the Bank of the Philippine Islands  (BPI)  took the witness stand  on Thursday to testify  on the bank accounts  allegedly owned by Chief Justice Renato Corona.

Leonora Dizon, is the branch manager of  BPI in Ayala Makati  City,  was being examined by private prosecutor Arthur Lim.

Dizon is the second bank official who appeared before in the impeachment trial of  Corona after   Pascual  Garcia III, president of the Philippine Savings Bank.
