USC-English Majors Ass’n to hold homecoming
THE English Majors’ Association (EMA) under the Department of Languages and Literature (DOLL) of the University of San Carlos will hold its second grand alumni homecoming on Feb. 11 at 4:30 p.m. at Harold’s Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City.
The theme for the event is “EMA Alumni: Tracing career paths, mapping their future through glocalized education.”
Aside from reuniting old acquaintances, the event aims to tackle the career direction of DOLL graduates and seek ways to improve their marketability.
One of the highlights of the event is the Outstanding EMA Alumni Award wherein alumni who excel in the following categories will be recognized: academe (teaching or administration), literature, business process outsourcing, entrepreneurship, journalism/mass media, government service, humanitarian service/volunteerism, legal, management, politics and research.
Recipients of the award were chosen by a panel of judges from the list of nominees submitted by the members through e-mails and mails.
Batches from 1950 to 2011 are expected to attend.
