P4.6-M marijuana seized in Tarlac buy bust
MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested three men who allegedly yielded P4.6 million worth of marijuana in a buy-bust operation in Tarlac City on Sunday.
Gen. Debold Sinas, chief of the Philippine National Police, identified the suspects as Cornelio Chumil-Ang, Jomar Pallar and Marcelino Caraowa, all from Mountain Province.
Sinas said they were part of a group engaged in trafficking narcotics in the provinces of Pangasinan, Tarlac and Mountain Province.
The suspects were nabbed by the Tarlac City police and the Tarlac provincial police office at around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday in Barangay San Nicolas, Tarlac City.
Seized from them were 24 bricks of dried marijuana leaves and 26 rolled dried marijuana leaves worth P4.6 million, and two bottles of cannabis oil worth P30,000.
