LUCENA CITY – A female tricycle driver was killed while her passenger was seriously injured when they were shot by a gunman in Candelaria, Quezon Saturday night.
The Candelaria police said Raquel Bunga, 50, and passenger Mark Payen, 27, were shot in Barangay Malabanban Sur at around 6:15 p.m.
The victims were taken to different hospitals but Bunga died along the way.
Payen sustained a gunshot wound to the head but survived.
Police Lieutenant Lloyd Maralit said both victims have no drug records on their files.
“We’re looking at personal grudge angle,” Maralit said in a phone interview Sunday.
