Woman slain, partner hurt in Masbate shooting

LEGAZPI CITY –– A 40-year-old woman was killed while her partner was injured in a shooting incident in Mandaon, Masbate province, on Friday, April 30.

Colonel Joriz Cantoria, Masbate police chief, said in a report that Nily Sto. Domingo died while her live-in partner Ronel Villamor, 40, was wounded during the attack in Barangay Tagpu around 1 a.m.

Cantoria said two suspects shot the victims while they were sleeping inside their house.

Recovered from the crime scene were a bullet and eight spent shells for a 9-mm caliber. Four slugs, a bullet, and two spent shells for a 12-gauge shotgun were also recovered.

The police have yet to establish the motive behind the shooting. INQ
