/ 05:12 AM April 30, 2021

The Philippine National Police has placed under hospital arrest Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) board member Sandra Cam, who was linked to the 2019 killing of Batuan, Masbate, Vice Mayor Charlie Yuson III. A Manila court issued last Monday an arrest warrant for murder and frustrated murder against Cam, her son Marco Martin and five other people. PNP criminal investigation and detection group director Maj. Gen. Albert Ignatius Ferro confirmed on Thursday that Cam surrendered late Wednesday by reporting that she was at a Cavite hospital undergoing treatment for diabetes and a kidney problem and awaiting lumbar spine surgery next week. —JEANNETTE I.
