Quezon records 243 COVID-19 recoveries, 11 deaths in 2 days
LUCENA CITY –– At least 243 persons stricken with COVID-19 in Quezon province beat the disease between Tuesday and Wednesday this week, the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) said.
The IPHO, in its Wednesday bulletin, reported that 127 COVID-19 patients had recovered on that day, while 116 recoveries were reported on Tuesday.
However, 11 patients died from the highly contagious virus over the same two-day period, bringing the current death toll to 395.
The IPHO reported Wednesday that three virus carriers in Candelaria town and one each in Mauban and San Narciso succumbed to COVID-19.
On Tuesday, three more patients in Mulanay and one each in San Francisco, Dolores, and the island town of Panukulan had also died.
The IPHO records showed that 110 COVID-19 patients died this April. In March, the province recorded 28 fatalities.
Article continues after this advertisementAs of April 28, Quezon, which is under general community quarantine until April 30, still has 845 active infections.
Of the 41 municipalities in Quezon, only San Narciso has no active case as of April 28.
