PNP records 169 new COVID-19 cases; active cases now over 20,000

MANILA, Philippines – The total number of COVID-19 cases in the ranks of the Philippine National Police (PNP) has now reached 20,009 after recording 169 new cases on Wednesday.

In a Facebook post, the PNP said it has recorded 1,776 new COVID-19 cases.

Meanwhile, the PNP recorded 202 additional recoveries bringing the total number of recoveries to 18,178.

No new COVID-related deaths were recorded at the PNP as the death toll remains at 55.
