Shabu worth P228k seized from 2 drug suspects in San Pablo City

LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested two notorious drug pushers and confiscated P228,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) on Tuesday night, April 27, in San Pablo City, Laguna.

The Police Regional Office 4-A reported on April 28 that John Cedric Villapando and Shaira Ann Gomez were collared around 8:45 p.m. after they sold shabu to a police agent in Barangay San Vicente.

The suspects yielded 10 sachets of shabu weighing 30 grams worth P222,088.

The police also recovered a digital weighing scale and cash believed to be from the sale of drugs.

The suspects, both identified street-level shabu peddlers in the locality, were detained.

They face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
