MANILA, Philippines—A man was injured Wednesday after the brother of his former live-in partner hacked him in Butuan City, police said Thursday.

Superintendent Martin Gamba, Butuan police spokesman, said that victim Carlito Bangkot Ado, 31, of P-1 Sitio Zigzag Barangay (village) Anticalam Butuan City, was hacked by Rosebert Bernal Sarco, 25, also a resident of the same village.

This was after Ado, who was allegedly drunk, went to the house of his former live-in partner who lives nearby and had a heated argument with her, Gamba said.
