Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Benhur Abalos on Monday ordered the suspension of two MMDA enforcers caught in a viral video extorting money from a motorist last week. MMDA traffic enforcers Edmon Belleca and Christian Malemit were suspended for 90 days pending the result of investigation for charges of extortion, grave misconduct, and other offenses punishable by dismissal from the service. In a video footage uploaded by complainant Miriel Custodio on social media, Belleca and Malemit was shown asking for P1,000 in exchange for non-apprehension for reckless driving.
