1 big time drug trafficker, 4 others fall in Cavite busts; more than 10 kilos of shabu seized

LUCENA CITY –– Joint police and Bureau of Customs (BOC) operatives arrested a big-time drug trafficker and seized about 10 kilos of shabu (crystal meth) on Monday night in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

The  Police Regional Office 4-A (PRO-4A) in Camp Vicente Lim in Calamba City said in a report Tuesday that the BOC, police, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency agents nabbed Michael Lucas in a buy-bust inside a subdivision in Barangay Burol 1 around 10 p.m.

Lucas yielded 10 kilograms of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu and three digital weighing scales, the report said.

In Bacoor City, the police arrested four suspected drug pushers on Monday and seized 130 grams of shabu in two buy-bust operations.

The PRO-4A reported on Tuesday that anti-illegal drug operatives collared Mila Acebuche and Mercy Sabolao after the duo sold shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay Talaba IV around 2 p.m.

Authorities confiscated 100 grams of shabu with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P680,000.

The report tagged Acebuche as a high-value target in Calabarzon of the PRO-4A drugs enforcement unit.

The police also busted Marvin Tayag and Joefer Alba in another drug sting in Bacoor around 7:30 p.m.

The two drug suspects yielded six plastic sachets of shabu weighing 30 grams with an estimated DDB value of P204,000.
