LUCENA CITY –– A construction worker in Lucban town in Quezon province was injured after a fellow worker stabbed him over a heated argument on who has the better singing voice between them.

Lucban police report said Elmer Monares, 26, stabbed Robert Raterta, 35, around 7 p.m. Sunday inside the construction barracks at the Southern Luzon State University compound at the town outskirts.

Monares reportedly went to the barrack’s kitchen, grabbed a kitchen knife, and stabbed Raterta twice on the left arm.
