Cloudy skies, rain in parts of PH due to tail-end of cold front–Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines – A tail-end of a cold front affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Northern Mindanao will bring cloudy skies and scattered rains in parts of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Thursday.

In its weather forecast, Pagasa said that the eastern section of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao would experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms.

Skies will become cloudy and bring widespread rains over eastern and central Visayas and northeastern Mindanao which may trigger flashfloods and landslides, Pagasa said.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rains, the state-run weather bureau said.

“Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over  Luzon and coming from the Northeast and East over Visayas  and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere winds will be light to moderate from the Northeast with slight to moderate seas,” Pagasa added.
