P680,000 worth of shabu seized in Manila buy-bust
MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics operatives arrested three suspected drug personalities and seized P680,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) during a buy-bust operation in Sta. Cruz, Manila Saturday night.
In a police report, the suspects were identified as Marcelo Ofiana, 58 years old; Sittie Dimaopong, 28 years old; and Gerardo Morandarte, 40 years old.
The suspects were arrested following a buy-bust operation along Quiricada St. in Barangay 327 Sta. Cruz, Manila, where they yielded six sachets of white crystalline substance — believed to be shabu —weighing 100 grams, one Chanel brown bag, and a single P500 bill.
Police said the confiscated drugs have an estimated street value of P680,000.
Authorities are still investigating who the suspects’ suppliers are.
