MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City government has issued a set of guidelines for community pantries that have emerged in various parts of the city to guarantee strict enforcement of minimum health measures and maintainance of peace and order.
In a memorandum, Mayor Joy Belmonte “strongly urged” those intending to put up community pantries to submit a written notice to the barangay where it would operate, including the person — preferably a resident of the barangay — who shall be accountable for it. The mayor, however, said no barangay or city permit would be required for their operation.
