Suspected drug den in Zambales busted, 5 arrested

SAN ANTONIO, ZAMBALES – Five suspects were arrested on Friday (April 23) during a police raid of an alleged drug den in Subic town.

Police said suspects Jim Fernandez, Jonaira Bayabao, Marvin Espiritu, Ramsel Andrade, and Jayvee Francisco were caught with 11 sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth), weighing 10 grams and worth P68,000 during the operation in Barangay (village) Matain.

The suspected drug den was under police surveillance following reports that drug use and shabu trade have been rampant in the area.

The suspects will be facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

On April 15, another alleged drug den was dismantled in nearby Barangay Calapacuan where 10 suspects were arrested.
