4.3-magnitude quake rocks Agusan del Sur town

ILIGAN CITY—A 4.3-magnitude quake rocked Talacogon town, Agusan del Sur province around 4:48 p.m. on Friday (April 23).

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the tremor was tectonic in origin and struck two kilometers southwest of Talacogon.

It had a depth of 58 kilometers.

The quake was recorded by Phivolcs instruments at Intensity 2 in Gingoog City and Intensity 1 in Cagayan de Oro City.

Phivolcs said no damage or aftershocks were expected.
