LUCENA CITY –– Police in Batangas province arrested 88 drug suspects and seized over P6 million worth of illegal drugs over the past three weeks.
Colonel Rex Arvin Malimban, Batangas police chief, reported Friday, April 23, that anti-drug operatives confiscated 1,019.35 grams of shabu (crystal meth) and 39.86 grams of marijuana in buy-bust operations from April 1 to 21 in the province.
The seized illegal drugs have a combined value of P6,936,363 based on the valuation of the Dangerous Drugs Board, the report said.
Also arrested were 206 illegal gamblers, 52 wanted criminals, and 12 persons for possessing illegal firearms. Authorities also seized nine undocumented firearms.
Likewise arrested during the operations were 18 suspects in various major and minor crimes. INQ
