Couple yields P59K ‘shabu’ in Rizal bust
LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested two drug suspects and seized P59,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in Binangonan town in Rizal province on Wednesday.
Colonel Joseph Arguelles, Rizal police chief, reported Thursday that anti-drug operatives nabbed Frederick Vedua and his partner Erica after selling shabu to undercover police in Barangay Calumpang at 2 p.m.
Authorities seized 8.7 grams of meth worth P59,160.
Informants tipped off the police on the rampant illegal drug activities in the area that led to the arrest of the suspects, the report said.
The suspects were detained and face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
