Olay named new PNP spokesperson
Police Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Olay is the new spokesperson of the Philippine National Police (PNP), replacing Police Brig. Gen. Ildebrandi Usana, who is set to retire on April 20. Usana called his successor “far better and more competent to provide the public the information that it needs with support from our media friends.” Prior to his new post, Olay was deputy director of the directorate for operations. He also had brief stints as deputy director of PNP health service and deputy director for comptrollership last year. Olay is a member of Philippine Military Academy class of 1990.
