MANILA, Philippines – The Cavite provincial government is eyeing to inoculate about two million residents for the next six months as part of the province’s fight against the spread of coronavirus, Governor Jonvic Remulla said on Friday.

“Ang plano po natin sa susunod na anim na buwan ay ma-inoculate ang two million na Caviteño sa pamamagitan ng pagtatayo ng 200 na intervention centers dito sa buong Cavite,” he said in his Facebook live.

(Our plan is to inoculate two million Caviteños as we establish 200 intervention centers in the entire Cavite.)

Remulla said that the provincial government is expecting about 300,000 doses of vaccines by the end of April to be allocated for senior citizens and persons with comorbidities.

Further, Remulla said they are also eyeing to take a “different approach” and soon vaccinate industrial workers.

(The entire Cavite has its own program. The national government said that it will inoculate senior citizens and people with comorbidities [which will end in] December. We will prioritize the so-called machines of our industry. We will prioritize all the industrial zone workers, those who are involved in industrial zones.)

Non-residents of Cavite will also be a candidate to receive free vaccines as long as they are working or studying in the province.

(This is given by the Cavite government. Don’t worry, if you are not living in Cavite, or if you are working or studying [in the province], even if you are not living here permanently, you are a candidate to get the vaccine.)
