MANILA, Philippines — Trips from Matnog Port going to Visayas and Mindanao are temporarily suspended from April 16 to April 20, due to Typhoon Bising, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said on Friday.

In an advisory, PCG spokesperson Commodore Armand Balilo said that trucking and logistics companies and passenger buses are advised to postpone their trips to avoid long queues at Matnog Port in Sorsogon.

Balilo added that the postponement of trips also acts as a precautionary measure to control the spread of COVID-19 in the province.
