LTO offices in Calapan on lockdown anew
CITY OF CALAPAN –– The Land Transportation Office (LTO) here were ordered locked for the third time starting Friday until further notice.
The order was made by the Interagency Task Force for Emerging Disease (IATF) in Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon Palawan) after an LTO official tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The LTO regional office was previously locked down and resumed normal operations on March 24 after some personnel contracted the disease.
The IATF ordered the March 24 lockdown of LTO’s regional and extension offices when its employees were required to undergo a 14-day home quarantine to disinfect their workplaces.
On March 8, all LTO offices on Mindoro Island were also ordered closed until March 12 for disinfection of buildings and premises. INQ
