City hall, hospital in Bago, Negros Occidental still close as 60 city gov’t employees test positive for COVID-19

BACOLOD CITY –– The Bago City hall and hospital remained closed as more city government employees test positive for COVID-19.

Mayor Nicholas Yulo said 60 government employees contracted the virus and were under quarantine.

Yulo said when the City Hall was closed down, only 14 employees tested positive for COVID-19, but the number increased after contact tracing was conducted.

The mayor said he would hold a Zoom meeting on Friday to decide when the city hall and hospital could be reopened.

Bago City has 111 active COVID-19 cases as of Wednesday, April 14.
