PNP records 162 new COVID-19 cases among cops

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police on Thursday said it has recorded 162 new COVID-19 cases among its ranks.

This brings the total number of active coronavirus cases to 2,472 as of Wednesday. Overall, total COVID-19 cases among policemen has reached 18,073, said the PNP.

The national police also recorded 171 new recoveries.

Since March 24, new cases in the PNP have averaged 200 daily. The highest number of new cases was recorded on March 26 at 316.
