MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte will address the nation this Thursday night to give the public updates on his phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Malacañang said.
“Mamaya po magkakaroon ng ‘Talk to the People’ ang Pangulo, siya na po ang magkwekwento kung ano ang nangyari sa kanilang usapan ni President Putin. This will be a ‘Talk to the People’ tonight,” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said Thursday in his regular briefing.
(The President will have a talk to the people later, he will share what he talked about with President Putin. This will be a talk to the people tonight.)
Duterte and Putin have committed to cooperate in fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the phone call, the two leaders discussed the 20 million doses of Sputnik V the Philippines would be ordering from Russia.
