Bataan logs highest single-day record of 5 COVID-19 deaths

BALANGA CITY—Five new COVID-19 deaths were recorded in Bataan province on Wednesday (April 14), according to authorities.

The number was the highest single-day tally for COVID-19 fatalities in the province so far.

According to the provincial health office, the new deaths raised to 128 the total number of people who died of COVID-19 in Bataan.

The province also registered 29 new COVID-19 infections on the same day, pushing the total tally to 4,849 cases since the pandemic broke out in 2020.

The Bataan Regional Trial Court Branch 5 in Dinalupihan town was locked down starting on Tuesday (April 13) after several court employees were infected.
