9 Negros Occidental gov’t employees test positive for COVID-19
BACOLOD CITY –– At least nine employees of the Negros Occidental provincial government have tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Dr. Ernell Tumimbang, Negros Occidental provincial health officer, said Negros Occidental Scholarship Program Division office has temporarily been closed for disinfection after its head and three other employees tested positive for COVID-19.
Tumimbang said one nurse, two medical technicians, a member of the Provincial Health Office administrative staff, and Board Member Manuel Ko also tested positive, bringing the total number of Capitol employees hit by COVID-19 this month to nine.
