MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Foreign Affairs’ (DFA) consular offices in the so-called NCR Plus area – Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Cavite and Laguna will be manned by a skeleton force and will only accommodate urgent cases while the enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) is in effect from April 12 to April 30, 2021

The consular offices of DFA in Metro Manila (including the Office of Consular Affairs in Aseana, Parañaque City), Antipolo City, Dasmariñas City in Cavite, Malolos City in Bulacan, and San Pablo City in Laguna will be on scaled down operations on the said dates from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., the DFA said in an advisory on Sunday.

Affected passport application appointments will be re-scheduled starting May 3, the DFA added.

An E-mail will be sent to the concerned passport applicants to confirm their new appointment schedule.

The DFA, however, said that schedules may still be subject to sudden changes due to “unforeseen circumstances” or “changes in the policies of local governments and mall partners which host these offices.”

“The DFA shall update its advisory should there be any changes to the schedules. Please make sure to check our website https://consular.dfa.gov.ph for the latest update on the schedules of Consular Offices,” it added. – Liezelle Soriano Roy, trainee
