The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) said 76 percent of public transportation in Metro Manila had been allowed to resume operations during the enhanced community quarantine. As of Friday, the LTFRB has reopened 745 routes for public transport and allowed 53,441 public utility vehicles back on the roads. These include 414 traditional jeepney routes for 37,246 authorized units. Starting next week, 1,800 traditional jeepneys and 2,600 provincial buses will be allowed to operate in 60 and 190 routes, respectively, in Metro Manila, the LTFRB said. —Mariejo S. Ramos
