Bago City hospital on lockdown until further notice

BACOLOD CITY –The Bago City Hospital was placed under total lockdown on Friday, until further notice.

Dr. Rey Pacillan, the acting chief of the Bago City Hospital, said the hospital will undergo thorough disinfection after several staff members of the hospital tested positive for COVID-19.

The outpatient and emergency services of the Teresita L. Jalandoni Provincial Hospital were also temporarily suspended effective Friday until April 12.

The services were suspended as the out-patient and emergency nurses and physicians are under quarantine, said Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz.

The emergency room, he said, will only accept cases of extreme emergency while the out-patient department will only accept patients with referral from municipal and city health offices.
