Himamaylan mayor, vice mayor positive for COVID-19

BACOLOD CITY – The top two officials of Himamaylan town in Negros Occidental tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday.

Both Mayor Rogelio Raymund Tongson and Vice Mayor Justin Gatuslao are on home quarantine.

Four other Himamaylan councilors are waiting for their COVID-19 test results.

In Murcia town, 25 residents, including two officials, tested positive for COVID-19, said Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz.

The two officials were Councilor Bebot Gomez and Murcia Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office head Vicente Leonida.
