MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday, April 9, recorded 215 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of active cases in the national police force to 2,456.

The PNP however reported 281 additional recoveries, bringing the total number of police recoveries to 14,477.

Meanwhile, two more cops succumbed to the dreaded disease. The total number of deaths within the PNP is 42.

As of April 9, the total number of reported COVID-19 cases in the PNP is 16,975 and have conducted 205,844 reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests.
