2 drug suspects fall in Quezon, yield over P1M shabu
LUCENA CITY – Police arrested two drug suspects in Candelaria town in Quezon province and seized over P1 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) on Friday and Saturday, police said.
Police Colonel Ericson Dilag, Quezon police chief, in a report said anti-illegal drugs operatives collared tricycle driver Jimson Amazona, 39, after he sold P500 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer in a transaction in Barangay (village) Pahinga Norte around 9:30 p.m. Friday, April 9.
Authorities confiscated 10 plastic sachets of shabu weighing 47.95 grams with an estimated value of P326,060 and worth P978,180 in the street market, report said.
Police also arrested Marjun Mayuga, 29, in another buy-bust operation in Barangay Malabanban Sur around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, April 10.
The suspect yielded 3.6 grams of shabu with DDB value of P24,480. Report said the confiscated meth is worth P73,440 among drug users.
The suspects are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
