GENERAL SANTOS CITY—Health authorities in Misamis Occidental province are currently tracking passengers of five flights from Manila to Ozamiz City after some of them have tested positive for SARS Cov2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
In an advisory, the provincial government’s COVID-19 Emergency Operations Center (EOC) asked those who were on the flights to report to the nearest Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT) or call their COVID-19 hotlines.
The flights in question were:
- April 3, Philippine Airlines;
- April 1, Cebu Pacific;
- March 31, Cebu Pacific;
- March 30, Cebu Pacific; and
- March 28, Cebu Pacific.
Two passengers each of the April 3 and March 30 flights were found positive for the virus through reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction test.
A passenger each of the April 1, March 31, and March 28 flights tested positive for the virus.
