Tagbilaran cop station, traffic office locked down after 13 employees test COVID-19-positive
TAGBILARAN CITY –– The police station and the traffic management office in this city were placed on lockdown starting Friday, April 9, after at least 13 personnel tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Tagbilaran City Mayor John Geesnell “Baba” Yap said that seven personnel of Tagbilaran City Police Station were infected, while six personnel of the City Traffic Management Office also contracted the disease.
These personnel have been isolated.
Other police officers, who had contact with those infected, have not been allowed to work and are under quarantine at the station as they wait for their swab test results.
Yap advised residents to follow health protocols as the city has 26 active cases and two deaths.
