Valentine’s party for Ilocanos

THE officers and members of Timpoyog Ken Saranay Ilokano Association Inc. will hold their third Valentine’s party on Feb. 11 at Sammy Santiago’s residence (in front of Family Park) on Sangi Street, barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City.

Also dubbed “Christmas in February,” the affair will run from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Prayer center for OFWs

OVERSEAS Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Hong Kong can now seek encouragement and guidance from the CBN Asia Prayer Center in Manila without worrying about their excessive fees from overseas calls.

The Prayer Center launched its Hello Hong Kong hotline for OFWs who need prayers, emotional support and sound advice. They can call (852) 317-54377 free of charge, made possible through HK-based voice over Internet protocol (VOIP) service provider Tawag Tipid.

Hello Hong Kong is the Prayer Center’s latest initiative to reach out to more OFWs all over the world. The center has been a refuge for distressed and homesick OFWs by providing a prayer and counseling network via e-mail, chat and social media.

The CBN Asia Prayer Center and its affiliate, The 700 Club Asia, are gearing up to expand their impact among OFWs, beginning with Hong Kong.

Series of life-transforming talks set

AN international group will hold a series of free motivational talks in Cebu starting Feb. 11 until March 24.

The Brahma Kumaris Meditation Center in Cebu announced that the talks will focus on self-discovery- and self-management-related topics, such as “Stress-Free! This You Can Be” on Feb. 11, “Manage Your Anger” on Feb. 25, “Karma Revealed” on March 10 and “Forgive and Let Go” on March 24.

The talks will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brahma Kumaris Meditation Center in Forest Hills, Banawa, Cebu City. It will be facilitated by motivational speakers and workshop facilitators from Manila and Cebu.

The center also announced that international speaker and author Anthony Strano will be doing a series of talks in the Philippines, including Cebu, on April.

The center also offers Raja Yoga course by appointment. Raja Yoga is an open-eyed meditation technique considered as India’s most ancient form of yoga.

The Brahma Kumaris is a non-sectarian, non-governmental organization that offers meditation classes in over 8,000 centers across 130 countries. Its programs are free of charge.
