MANILA, Philippines—The city government of Manila on Thursday began distributing cash assistance worth P4,000 to transportation groups affected by the enhanced community quarantine’s implementation.
Radyo Inquirer interviewed jeepney and tricycle drivers who were recipients of the financial aid.
The city hall distributed the money to up to 10,478 beneficiaries using funds provided by the national government.
Apart from cash assistance, the Manila city government will hand over food packs and groceries to ECQ-hit families.
