Eastern Metro Manila cities will soon be distributing cash aid to help families cope with financial losses due to the extended enhanced community quarantine in the National Capital Region and nearby provinces. In Mandaluyong City, Mayor Carmelita Abalos signed Executive Order No. 34 series of 2021, which grants a P1,000 cash aid to each affected resident, while a maximum of P4,000 will be given per family. In Pasig City, Mayor Vico Sotto on Tuesday confirmed that the city received P681.74 million from the national government, which will be distributed to 681,743 qualified residents. —MEG ADONIS
