Tuguegarao City extends ECQ until April 12
TUGUEGARAO CITY –– The city government has extended its enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) status until April 12 as approved by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) inter-agency task force.
In an interview, Mayor Jefferson Soriano said Wednesday the ECQ, which started on March 30, would end on April 8.
Soriano said a recent spike in COVID-19 cases forced them to extend the most restrictive form of quarantine.
After the ECQ, the city would revert to the less restrictive modified enhanced community quarantine, he added.
As of Tuesday, the city had 724 active COVID-19 cases.
Soriano also denied reports he had COVID-19 again.
