6 Calapan City cops catch COVID-19
CITY OF CALAPAN –– Six city police personnel have caught the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), according to the City Health and Sanitation Department on Tuesday.
Three of the new cases are females (two aged 22 and one with age 24), while the other two are males (aged 25 and 24). They are all from Barangay Guinobatan. The sixth is a 42-year-old policeman from Barangay Suqui.
Five of them are on quarantine at the Philippine National Police barracks in the city.
Five patients have recovered, including a woman, 68, from Barangay Balingayan; another woman, 64, from Suqui; a woman, 31, from Barangay Bulusan; a woman police officer, 27, from Suqui; and a man, 49, from Barangay San Rafael.
Since the pandemic started last year, the city has logged 869 COVID-19 cases, of which 73 are active, 781 recoveries, and 15 deaths.
