Galvez, Dizon complete COVID-19 vaccine doses
MANILA, Philippines — National Task Force against COVID-19 officials Carlito Galvez Jr. and Vince Dizon said Tuesday they have both received their second doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
In an online Palace briefing, the two officials said they received their second dose last March 29.
“At nakita ko po medyo mas malakas po iyong side effects ng March 29, pero maganda po iyon sabi ng mga doktor kapag may side effects na parang inaantok ka at parang gusto mong matulog. Parang ang ibig sabihin, umiepekto po iyong vaccine,” said Galvez, the NTF chief implementer and the country’s vaccine czar.
(I experienced stronger side effects when I was inoculated last March 29, but doctors said that it’s good to have side effects where you feel sleepy. They said it means the vaccine is taking effect.)
Dizon likewise said he experienced feeling sleepy after receiving his second dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
“Ako po’y nakatanggap na rin ng second dose ko noong March 29 sa Tala Hospital sa Caloocan. Meron konting antok lang pero wala nang ibang naramdaman since then,” Dizon said in the same briefing.
