MANILA, Philippines — The northeasterly windflow would cause cloudy skies and light rain in some areas of northern Luzon, according to the weather bureau on Monday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mt. Province, and Aurora would have cloudy skies and isolated light rain with no significant impact.
Similarly, the northeasterly windflow will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and Visayas, with little impact.
Meanwhile, Mindanao’s sky will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with scattered rainshowers caused by isolated thunderstorms.
Pagasa warned that severe thunderstorms could result in flash flooding or landslides.
Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong northeasterly winds and moderate to rough seas.
Meanwhile, the Visayas and the rest of Luzon will have light to moderate winds in the northeast direction and mild to moderate coastal waters.
Pagasa said Mindanao would have light to moderate winds with mild to moderate coastal conditions from east to northeast.
Pagasa also recorded a minimum temperature of 24.0°C at 6 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 33.8°C at 2:48 p.m. at the Diliman Science Garden’s weather station.
